Cheeseburger Casserole

Keto ground beef casseroles are my go-to lately. They get thrown together in minutes and then bake to perfection. Slice and serve, for one savory weeknight meal. Comfort food without the guilt is how I describe this recipe.

Can I Add Bacon To My Casserole

Sure. If you want to give it that bacon cheeseburger casserole twist, go right ahead. Just make sure that you cook and dice the bacon before stirring into the casserole to bake. You don't want to use raw bacon in the casserole, as it won't bake up to be a nice texture.

What To Serve With My Low Carb Cheeseburger Casserole

Fresh vegetables, roasted vegetables, or even a cauliflower mash. You can pick and choose any of your favorite sides. This beef casserole is so versatile and will blend well with most recipes.

How Does The Ground Beef Casserole Become Thick

The eggs are a great base for this recipe. I know it might sound strange to use eggs in a beef casserole, but trust me the flavors work well together. Using eggs makes it a keto-friendly recipe. Whereas many other recipes use items like egg noodles, other pasta, and rice to bring the dish together.

What Size Baking Dish Do You Use For This Ground Beef Casserole

You will want to use an 8x8 baking dish or 9 inch round pan for this recipe. This beef recipe will serve around 4-6 servings. Which is great if you are looking for a recipe that is smaller in size.

Can I Double This Cheeseburger Casserole

Yes. Use a 9x13 pan if you plan to double this recipe. Then just ensure that the whole casserole is fully cooked before serving up. I take a toothpick and stick throughout the casserole. I look to ensure the toothpick comes out clean in all areas.

Reach for sugar-free ketchup or mustard to drizzle over the top. Pair with pickles or even a dab of dill relish. You will really pick up the cheeseburger flavor by dressing it with condiments you put on a burger. I also recommend adding in hot sauce if you like spice and a bit of a heat factor.
