How To Start A Keto Diet
Always consult a physician before starting a new diet or regimen. Starting the Keto Diet can be hard. A lot of misinformation floats around just fogging and confusing the whole topic. Here at HowToThisandThat we have always promised to bring only the facts within content you can trust. Especially when it comes to things like how to start a keto diet and learning how to use good fat for weight loss. Although it is not guaranteed, most people lose the bulk of their weight and hit their main goal in 6 months.
What is the Keto Diet?
We go over this more in detail within the resources below, however in short - the keto diet is a way of LIFE (not a fad diet) that limits carbs and uses good fat for weight loss. Ketosis- the state your body enters when limiting carbs to an average of 40-50g per day (varies per person). Eating a diet in high good fat foods conditions your body to use fat for fuel first. Since the body stores fat also, it is burned for fuel as well, ultimately resulting in weight loss.
Will I Lose My Weight in 6 Months
Unfortunately there is no way to say for sure that everyone will achieve their weight loss within 6 months. Everyone is different. However, on average most people who learn how to start a keto diet and follow it closely, lose around 2-3lbs per week. For me personally the bulk of my weight came off during the first 4 months, like melted away. I feel like blinked. Poof. Then I stalled. Ahhh, a story for another day.
