How To Make Fudge Plus 50 Amazing Fudge Recipes

Fudge Basics:

  • Fudge is a sugar based confection consisting of sugar that has been melted and boiled to about 235 , or the “soft ball stage”.
  • Over or under  “cooking”  your fudge mixture can drastically affect the results. Ever had a fudge not set up right? That is most likely the reason why.  A candy thermometer is almost a must to guarantee your fudge comes out perfectly.
  • Almost any topping or flavor can be added to a basic fudge mixture: sugar, evaporated milk and most of the time marshmallow cream.
  • Believe it or not once you make a perfect fudge, you will be able to do it the next time almost by memory. Do not be overwhelmed!
  • Fudge is extremely rich and sweet, cutting into small pieces is highly recommended (Though not necessary, says my sweet tooth)
  • Have on hand :  an 8×8 pan, parchment paper, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, sugar
  • Fudge makes a great gift, try out some of our favorite recipes and give the gift of fudge this holiday season!
