One of the things I miss the most when I am counting calories and watching what I eat (which happens a few times a year , when I decide I have spoiled myself enough) is Steak & Cheese ! The peppery steak, warm gooey cheese, sauteed onions & peppers… drool. Of course the steamed, bread. But if you are counting calories or watching carbs, the bread is a big no no. So I created a Low Carb Steak & Cheese using lettuce. When I first heard of lettuce wraps, I said . Um. No. Lettuce is not bread and there is no replacement for bread.
