Sugar Free Cinnamon Seed Butter

Before I dive into this post and discussing my homemade cinnamon seed butter is, let me say this- I promise I am not on a “New Year’s Resolution” health kick! For the last few years I have changed my own way of eating and slowly work in healthier choices for my family. That isn’t to say that we don’t eat the occasional cookie or slice of pizza, but we moderate and manage.

One change I made right away was with our butter. I always use to buy whatever was the cheapest. Until I starting reading labels. Since then, Smart Balance® Buttery Spread is my go to.  It is a fantastic all purpose butter substitute that can be used for spreading, baking, cooking and more. Smart Balance® Buttery Spread has 400mg of Omega 3 ALA per serving, is gluten & dairy free. When used as a part of a healthy diet low in saturated fat that includes exercise and other physical activity, it can even support healthy cholesterol levels that are already within normal range.

The buttery spread pairs perfectly with super soft Lender’s® Bagels. They are low fat and come in a wide variety of flavors making them great for the whole family. For a quick, easy breakfast just pop them in the toaster for a minute, smother with Smart Balance® Buttery Spread, our Cinnamon Seed Butter or both- BOOM! A yummy grab n go breakfast for everyone.

Both Lender’s® Bagels and Smart Balance® Buttery Spread can be found (conveniently next to each other) in the refrigerated dairy section at Walmart.
