Air Fryer Avocado Fries

Air fryer avocado fries are a delicious appetizer, side or snack. They can be enjoyed alone or used in another dish, such as nacho avocado fries or as burger topping. Is this a Low Carb High Fat Recipe?

Yes, there is really a such thing as good fat.  Not all fats are created equal. Avocados happen to be loaded with mostly monounsaturated fat, as a result are a great replacement for other fats.  Because they are also high in fiber avocados technically reduce carbs. If you are following a low carb or keto diet, that is important.  That's why I love these avocado fries.  They are one of the easy air fryer keto recipes that is just good for you all around!

Why is Low Carb High Fat Good in Keto?

Living low carb , high fat your body has been trained to fuel itself with fat , ultimately resulting in less being stored and more being used.  It is actually quite genius.  Recipes like our air fryer avocado fries make it easy to follow a diet such as this.  Good fat and virtually no carbs.  Plus of course the added benefits of everything else the avocado has to offer.

Think outside the carbs with Keto Fries

Switching to a diet such as keto can be difficult if you are a snacker. The first thing we did was set out to create alternative versions of our favorite meals and snacks.  Of course french fries had to go, but no, what now?

Out came the air fryer and imagination.  Green beans, jicama, zucchini and of course avocado. I prefer to snack on the green beans, mostly because I can eat more of them, but these air fryer avocado fries are a close second.

Do I Need a Dipping Sauce for Avocado Fries?

While you don't need one, I do typically keep full-fat ranch dressing on hand, and it is a good choice to go with these easy keto fries.  You may also want to have salasa on hand, or simply some sour cream!

Bonus Tip: If you are new to the air fryer here is a great post on how to use your air fryer.
