There are just 2 net carbs per serving in plain cabbage, but in this recipe, there are roughly 6 net carbs per serving.

Does Cabbage Have a Long Shelf Life?

For best storage, wrap your unwashed head of cabbage in a plastic bag or plastic wrap in the crisper drawer of your fridge. When stored properly, cabbage can last up to 2 months.

Our Top Tips for Making This Recipe

This is a relatively simple recipe, but these tips will help you make it even better!

Make Sure You Use Fresh Cabbage

Using cabbage that is as fresh as possible will help ensure that your recipe turns out the best. The same is true for any produce item in any recipe. Using fresh is always best. The bold flavors of fresh produce help you to create great flavors in your meals!

Do Not Freeze

I know it's tempting to meal prep all of your favorite recipes, but this recipe is not one that works well when frozen. Freezing it really alters the texture of the meal, making the recipe just not the same once reheated. It gets watery in my opinion.

Stick to a Serving Size

If you are watching your carbs be sure to not indulge in this one. The net carbs on this dish are roughly 6 net carbs, so it can be easy to go over your desired carb count with this recipe.

So there you have it, my friends! Whether you are a cabbage lover or not, this Cabbage Au Gratin and other easy keto cabbage dinner ideas are all easy recipes that will become instant hits in your household.
