This is one of my favorite air fryer recipes. You get that tender and moist chicken with a crunchy skin that is slathered in buffalo sauce. Chicken wings at home can taste just as good as your favorite wing stop.

The biggest difference between the two, is air fryer chicken wings are cooked by using hot air. The Air Fryer circulates air around the wings, giving them the deep-fried texture without the oil. Fried wings are tasty but full of empty carbs. In our home, the air fryer method is just as tasty and you don't want away feeling guilty.
Tips For Making Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings Successfully
Cooking Spray
Give you basket or air fryer tray (if using oven style) with cooking spray. This will help prevent the chicken from sticking to the basket.
Space Between Wings
Leave space between each wing so that the air can fully circulate around the chicken wings. By doing so the whole area of the wing will crisp up. If you leave your wings to touch, they will be soggy or under cooked in those areas. Batch cook if need be.
Rotate Wings
During the cooking process, you need to baste and flip your wings. This will offer an even cook with a crispy and sticky texture of the wing sauce. This will give you crispy chicken wings as you want.
Can You Tame Down Buffalo Wing Sauce
Absolutely! If you are not great with extra hot you can buy a mild buffalo wing sauce, or dress it up to tame down the heat. To tame the heat of store-bought regular wing sauce, follow this step.
Take around 8 ounces of your wing sauce, and add in 6 tablespoons of butter. Let it melt down on stove or the microwave. Then add in a splash of Worcestershire sauce. Stir and taste.
How Long Do You Cook Air Fried Chicken Wings
My recipe requires around 25-30 minutes to cook these hot wings. It all depends on the size of your wings. So just watch and check your chicken to navigate of the chicken is done or not.
Are Buffalo Chicken Wings Keto
If you buy a low carb wing sauce or make your own wing sauce, then yes they can be keto-friendly. You just have to be aware of the sauce you use, as many are loaded with sugar. Try my air fryer Avocado Fries as well!
What Do You Serve With Chicken Wings
You will find blue cheese dressing or even ranch are traditionally served with chicken wings. I also recommend adding in some celery and carrot sticks. They will help tame down the heat and cleanse your palette.
Can You Reheat Chicken Wings In Air Fryer
Spray down the basket with cooking spray, and heat to 400 degrees. Then lay wings out your leftover wings and heat for 5-10 minutes or until they are heated through.
You can also toss these in the microwave, or even in the oven to heat them up that way.
