Whether you are new to the kitchen or a seasoned chef, these tips, tricks & hacks will help you save time, money and make life easier! Kitchen Hack- Parmesan Cheese
Kitchen Hacks, Tips & Tricks #32
At first glance, real Parmesan Cheese seems expensive. They can average anywhere from $5-10 in most grocery stores. Of course it gets more expensive at specialty shops, but we are referring to the every day stores people shop for basics.
At my grocery store it is $4.99 a wedge. An entire wedge grated on my “fine” setting gives almost two containers of the store bought “shaker cheese” type, which I have noticed are up to $4 a container. Grating it yourself ensures it is fresh and contains no “pulp”. YES, remember that story- it was proven true. No thanks.
Use a glass sugar shaker (Dollar Tree $1!) OR Reuse a spice container that has a shaker top. Store in the refrigerator.
